Via Fandango and USA Today polls. Like last year, Avengers takes the top spot. Going to be another big year for Disney.

Also I’m ashamed I forgot about John Wick 3. Definitely in my top 3 to see.

Captain Marvel more anticipated than Star Wars and Lion King?? Yeah no... I don't believe that for a second That's just a function of Marvel being red hot and leaving people on a cliffhanger. Now Glass being more anticipated than The Lion King... what the hell is going on there?

Captain Marvel more anticipated than Star Wars and Lion King?? Yeah no... I don't believe that for a second Star Wars isn't special anymore. It's just another franchise, these days. Couple that with the fact that there's not been a single trailer released, and it's not that surprising at all.

In terms of the blockbusters: Avengers tops my list. Then there's also The Irishman, Us, Joker, Star Wars, John Wick, etc.

Franchises continue to exist because people care about them. That doesn't alter the fact that there are a lot of successful franchises coming out of Hollywood that people like a great deal. People will continue to see Star Wars, just as they'll continue to see Marvel, Mission: Impossible, Jurassic World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fast and the Furious, Toy Story and even Medea's Adventures in Drag. You're also completely ignoring the fact that THERE'S NO TRAILER! The most important tool to build anticipation for a movie is a trailer!

I don't know one person that excited to see Solo by another actor. He was not Solo. Not every single side character needs a movie around them. People will show up to Episodes. Rogue One was a cool experiment. But Disney just needs to learn what the fans want in individual stories.
