This was awful. Script was uninspired, directing was exceptionally flat, characters talk in blatant exposition constantly, stock evil genius villain, took way too long for Venom to get to Eddie Brock, tonally all over the place. Also, Venom becomes the savior of the story? Awful. Should've been that Venom gets entangled with an irredeemable Eddie Brock, not that the kind of good Venom teams up with the wholly wonderful Eddie Brock.

The car chase was very well executed though, I'll give it that. I didn't dislike the film while watching it, it certainly attempts to charm the audience though fails miserably with one lame joke after another, but right away you knew this was going to be a derivative stinker. The whole movie is an exercise is pointlessness. Nothing happens that has to, everything is forced, no one feels real. Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams are too talented to be in shit like this.
