Corporate rock radio synergy with nu-metal did just as much to kill it as corporate rock synergy with top 40 and hip hop.
Only good rock still on radio is the Foo Fighters, most all the rest is streaming or difficult to find on the radio.

Yeah, not the most new of insights. Largely accurate. It sucks for me when attending parties and shit, but otherwise I don't really care.

I mean, I guess I'm part of the problem. If I expanded my musical interests beyond old ass bands who've been around for decades and actually listened to new artists that'd probably help. As is, I get into like one new band a decade.

What about bands thebtskink talked shit about like Linkin Park? Rock WAS mainstream in the 2000's. Did Dracula kill rock?

Don't look at me, I was all about System of a Down, Green Day, and NIN when I was in high school, it wasn't until I went to college and Emo shit took over that I jumped ship.
