If we were trying a music analogue to the film club, how many people would be up for an album review club? Yeah I'd try it. Hope everyone likes Metal. No worries. I would get my revenge.

I just watched a movie where Kevin James pulled out his own eyeball. Target acquired? I'm going to toy around with this one and see if something interesting comes out of it.

You chose Tulsa over Becky. I’ll never forgive you.

You chose Tulsa over Becky. I’ll never forgive you. Becky wasn't playing in a theater until this week. If it makes you feel better, I paid for Becky. Tulsa I got into for free. God that sounded dirty. And both girls are underage too, which makes it worse.

If we were trying a music analogue to the film club, how many people would be up for an album review club? I don't have a fraction of the experience stringing together thoughts about music as I do about movies and don't exactly have a backlog of interesting suggestions, but if the albums are on Spotify, I'd give it a shot. If we were trying a music analogue to the film club, how many people would be up for an album review club? Yeah I'd try it. Hope everyone likes Metal. Instead of a full album, since that’ll scare people away, 4 to 6 songs. Basically the singles and a couple of deep cuts.

Give people the option of choosing from multiple sets?

We’re 6 months into the pandemic which means its been at least 7 months since I’ve been to the barber. I’m trying my best to tame the beast but that means looking like 70’s Prince. I can’t win.

Your barbers aren't doing appointments with masks?

Your barbers aren't doing appointments with masks? Are masks gonna stop people’s hairs from circulating through the air? People are debating restaurants and movie theatres but I don’t know how barbershops/salons are necessarily any safer.

You had to do an appointment and couldn't go in until you got a text. The shop had the waiting floor space being used to further distance the cutting chairs. But it's one of them $25 places thats essentially a step below a salon.

All public accommodations are a risk even with all the masks and precautions in the world. Ideally if no one engaged in any risky behavior for a few weeks the whole virus would stop spreading and we could keep it under control, but humans are humans (and as someone who's seen Tenet I probably can't cast stones). Still, on principal we should all avoid potentially risky behavior as much as humanly possible to avoid furthering the crisis and for a lot of people a haircut is not the kind of thing to take your risks over. Personally I've been enjoying my months long game of "See How Much Like a Mountain Man I can Look" but that's perhaps easy for me to say given the my work has been using conference calls instead of zoom so the only people I really need to impress are the checkout people at the grocery store.

My hair's naturally curly so as long as I shower in the morning and apply some gel I usually look passable.

Luckily, since I've been quarantining with the folks, I've been getting regular haircuts from my Mom every 4-5 weeks.

Whats a haircut?
Been shaving my head twice a week for... Over a decade.
Guess I did limit it to once a week in the early days of the q.
But the studies on wearing masks while going to get a haircut show it's much safer than you'd assume. Just mask up.

I've been going to the barber once a month for about three months now. All is well.

Wow, it feels like the idea of quarantining is pretty much done here.

Biden leading in poll of voters over 65. A group that hasn’t voted democrat in 20 years.
I hate to be that guy, but I did a double take and then realized that 20 years ago was 2000. Damn. We old. 20 years ago we were two months away from Tim Russert and his infamous white board. Those days seem so quaint now.
BTW, tomorrow is 9/11. Been 19 years. That’s ancient history now. Between Trump and the pandemic, 9/11 might as well be Vietnam now.
