So is there going to be a big Best of the Decade thread on here in the coming weeks? Been toying with my list for that. I have some plans, but have made the executive decision that 2019 Year End/Golden Stakes stuff needs to come first for me. Are you gonna do a decade-spanning super Golden Stakes? Cause that be cool.

That might be fun, but I'm not sure I'll have time to do that. Have something a bit more straightforward planned.

Neverending finally outed me. I’m Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
Also Joel Coen is on the list unlike his hack brother.

Red Dead Redemption II > Grand Theft Auto V
GTA5 was fun and all and I guess more iconic, but if I'm going to be playing in that type of sandbox again, I'll go back to Red Dead long before GTA.

Disco Elysium (2019) A lot of these games are reflective of trends that I'm not into at all and thus would never make my own list, namely Fortnite, League, Pokemon Go, and Minecraft. Don't know what Disco Elysium is. GTA V is good and I loved it in 2013, but it has not aged especially well. The game loses a lot on replays. Haven't played BOTW, but it does look impressive and probably deserves its spot. Dark Souls is awesome and easily my favourite game here. I prefer Bloodborne but Souls is certainly the more important title. Skyrim is certainly an accomplishment of sorts, but it's a game I always stop playing rather than really finish in a satisfying way. Also, Bethesda's constant re-releases that don't fix any of the numerous bugs yet still charge at full price has somewhat tarnished its legacy. Portal II is really awesome and a lovely surprise to see crack the top ten.

Ah, Time magazine. That stalwart of respectable video games journalism.

From somebody who looks on video games from the outside in, that actually seems like a decent list.

Red Dead Redemption 1 is better than both. If I can ever get a reasonable way to play it, I'll find out. It has a monster price on the PS store and my internet is too garbage to stream it though the PS's service.

Dracula , are you doing the annual boards' top 10? Yeah, I usually wait until the week before the Oscars to give people time to catch up and see everything. The Oscars are going to be early this year though so hopefully people manage to get in their viewings.

To any other fellow owners of Heat on Blu-Ray: just what the hell is up with the sound level on this movie? Specifically the dialogue. Most of the time, the sound on the dialogue is so low that it sounds like everybody's mumbling.
