I've been playing the original Zelda on an NES Mini. I'm determined to beat that game before I die.
Sad, I know.

Me too. It's amazing some of the stuff you remember all these years later.
I still don't get the hate for II.

Since it was a one player game my sister was always NES hogging the Zelda cartridge. I was also a little young at the time to really have the patience for an exploration narrative in a video game, so maybe it was for the best. Mario and Ninja Turtles were my go-to games.
Zelda II I know I've played. I remember liking it at the time, but I was 6 I think. If I ever beat the original I'll crack open that one next.
But first I need to stop rage playing Punch Out.

The Cars' debut album is damn near perfect.
Don't Cha Stop is the only non-great song on that.
This would probably be in my personal top 5 favorite albums all time.

It still never ceases to amaze me that there is a Carrie 2. Even after having watched it for the third time (I think) I'm still not convinced this movie exists.

So...I'm looking at DVDs at the store and I see a Daffy Duck DVD. At first I don't think much of it because why wouldn't Daffy be on DVD? Then out of the corner of my eye I notice that it has the Space Jam logo on it. So I inspect this DVD out of curiosity thibking maybe it's just Space Jam with a new cover. Turns out it's just Daffy Duck cartoons, but the title of the disc is "From the Stars of Space Jam: Daffy Duck!"
I...um...have so many questions about this. Maybe I'm just "the old guy" now but is today's youth not familiar with Looney Tunes? I thought that was a mainstay of cartoons since television was invented. Even when Saturday morning went belly up, I'm pretty sure they're a thing on Cation Network/Boomerang. But then again I haven't had cable in a while.
Second, trying to sell this to kids through Space Jam? I know Space Jam was pretty popular back in the day, but I wouldn't have thought kids today would have been familiar with it. I've always felt like it was just this dumb flavor of the month thing. I guess there is a lot of nostalgia for that movie, so are parents passing this silly movie on to their children? Like baldness or diabetes?
So I'm trying to wrap my head around this...did Space Jam at some point become a bigger brand than Looney Tunes? This seems so weird to me.
I dunno. This is just a random string of thoughts that this set into motion. But boy do I feel old.

They have, however, been shown Space Jam by their Michael Jordon obsessed nostalgic 90s kid parents.

Seeing that equivalent 20 plus years later on DVD just puzzles me.

Whenever there is a story about ice/snow storms in uncommon areas of the country, I'm in awe at how much these people don't know how to drive in the winter.

Trebek having stage 4 pancreatic cancer is a real bummer.
My grandma had that cancer, more power to him for not giving up in face of everything that says the odds are massively stacked against him.

Radio stations are banning Michael Jackson after the ridiculous Neverland documentary. But not here. Here we celebrate Wako Jacko.

Remember when Michael Jackson did a video with Marlon Brando, Michael Madsen and... Chris Tucker?

My older sister was in 6th grade while I was in Kindergarten when they were popular.
She rang up $200 on the NKOTB 900 number then tried to blame it on me.
