It's a pretty damn good quality rip that someone had so not sure if that's worth anything. I'll try to dive into it this week just so I can see for myself.

I didn't like it, but I don't really like the Woody Allen stuff he was trying to emulate.

I really wanna see that so send it my way when you can. Heard some scenes are just laughably awkward due to the timing of the news.

I'm looking for a house now, and when I Google one of the listings on the MLS, I see that one of the parts of this duplex is listed as the HQ of South Coast Paranormal Investigations.
I do not know whether the half that is for sale is the prior HQ, or if it's the other one and I would have these people as neighbors.
Would you even consider looking at this? Shits and giggles?

Presumably, South Coast Paranormal Investigations chose that house as their headquarters so they could find paranormal things to investigate there. So it's probably haunted as fuck. As ghosts don't strike me as being overly respectful of property boundaries I don't think you should concern yourself with which side of the duplex they were in, you'll probably get all the fun of a haunting regardless.

Want to go to the theater this week, but the movie I really want to see is Stan & Ollie. However once again Idaho gets fucked over by everyone in the entertainment industry and nobody has it playing over here.
So I figure what the hell. It's January, might as well start the year by watching a shit movie. So I've narrowed it down to seeing Escape Room for a five dollar Tuesday or seeing Robin Hood at the dollar theater. Or should I see both to push my endurance?
Anybody want to sway me?

Robin Hood is an odds on favorite to win a razzie this year, Escape Room is probably just going to be forgotten. So if your goal is to see something bad that's probably your best bet.

You can get your crap movie fix and see one of the stars of Stan & Ollie at the same time.

Bad movies are one thing, bad comedy is another. I'd castrate myself with a rusty screw before I willingly paid to see Holmes & Watson.
It's sad that thing is still playing here but I can't get my Laurel and Hardy fix.

Literally only la and NY have Stan and Ollie right now.
Bit unfair to expect Idaho to get it at the same time...

I can't find a nationwide date anywhere. Everyone just has it listed as "released."

Black Monday has their pilot up on YouTube for free right now. I'd recommend it. I found myself chuckling out loud more than a few times.
And Horatio sanz isn't even in this episode.

Did the math (literally just addition) and I think I saw around 75 movies in theaters last year. Seem like overkill.

That's a lot. I saw less than ever at the theater last year... 17 by my count.

43 for me (that's 2018 releases, with 2017 holdouts, it was probably closer to 50), which seems close enough to my usual per-year average.

Including 2017 holdovers and rep screenings I saw 69 movies in theaters during the calendar year.

Also did the math on costs... For an average of like 11 bucks a movie, probably a little more (5 dollar Tuesdays with the other pleb friends, ten even for a normal ticket, 15 bucks for Dolby, 13 for imax, 18 for 3d imax - whoa) prob hovering around 7 to 800 bucks.
With the rise of subscriptions though it cost me 160 bucks total. For tickets at least.
I think I paid for 2 movies on my own. Prospect and border. Both were well above the average movie I saw in quality so I don't feel as though I wasted any money.
But there really is no telling how much I spent on popcorn.

Thinking of starting a blog about the themes I have heard from my counselling clients over the years. Hoping this will be interesting to others and something to help me self reflect on my own life.
