"HBO Max, what's a movie SnoBorderZero hates that is also short?" "Predator 2." "Perfect." I wasn't necessarily intending to live blog this a second time, but this movie is a fucking gem. 1. Why does this take place in 1997? There's no attempt whatsoever to make this seem like "the future." 2. Colombian and Jamaican drug cartels in a gun fight on a random L.A. street. Just a Monday for SnoBorderZero. 3. What is this cast? Ruben Blades. Maria Conchita Alonso. Robert Davi. Bill Paxton. A Lethal Weapon reunion minus Mel Gibson. 4. Morton Downey Jr? If it were 1997, it'd be Jerry Springer. 5. This naked chick riding this dude thinks she's Jessie Spano in Showgirls. 6. The action scenes here are ahead of their time. Wild stuff for 1990. |

7. Amazing that Bill Paxton plays an idiot in Terminator, Aliens and Predator 2. Dude was typecast.
8. For all the shit this movie gets for being set in a city, they really pulled off the iconography quite well. We were robbed of a potential horror franchise.
9. The effects are top notch.
10. The soundtrack is phenomenal.
