That is NOT what I was picturing when I first heard about this movie. That said, it does look interesting and unique, but the trailer kind of has me concerned about the tone.

I work on a TV show now, but when I was still at the trailer house we had this movie. Granted it was very unfinished VFX wise... but it's not very good. Tonally it's all over the place and I have no idea who the hell the target audience is. It's interesting, and Steve Carell is very good, but it just doesn't add up to much in the end.
Another expensive flop for Zemeckis.

Production PA for a new show for CBS All Access. Never wanted to be an editor, I just do it for my own short film projects. Production is always where I wanted to be so I'm really happy to have made the jump. Took a year of living in LA to do it, but ta-da!

I started as a PA, in fact I was a little older than you when I got my first gig so don't sweat it if you are. I don't know much about how it goes in TV but in the movie realm it's not terribly tough to move up if you do a good job. I'm at Sony right now, we should raise a glass sometime.

Thanks Dooms, it's been a process but now that I've got my foot in the door and keep making connections I'm feeling good, but yes I wish I was five years younger doing this work haha! TV is not my goal, as you know I'm a movie guy through and through, so I'm hoping after this show I can move into that but at this point I'm happy to be working production on a network show. And yes, let's definitely do that! Do you live in Culver City? Assuming because that's where Sony is, I'm nearby in Playa. And congrats to us for successfully hijacking this thread into our conversation, it's sadly more interesting than this movie.

So you’re finally working for Adam Sandler.
