Not surprising, I guess. The drop from 13 to 10 episodes happened around the time it was reported to them of the "budget cut", despite them claiming some creative difficulties. I was going to wait to resubscribe when the show's season was near ending, but considering they had to do edits based around 3 episodes being subtracted at the last minute, and now the show being cancelled there after, it might not be worth bothering with.

I suppose it's possible they were waiting to see what subscription numbers were like along with the release of Swamp Thing, and if they were too little, that's when they decided to officially cancel the series.

The fact that Episode 2 is just as good, if not better than the Pilot, makes me even more upset about the cancellation. What just astounds me about this is apparently WB execs wanted this to be more of a procedural and that was part of why it got axed. Cause, yeah, Swamp Thing just screams procedural.
