It loses steam at the end with the battle of the bands stuff, but overall, a good movie. A classic.

One time when I was in high school, maybe 14 or 15, my buddy was staying over and my Dad came home drunk and decided that the three of us had to watch Up in Smoke together. My mom, terrfied that my Dad was gonna embarrass himself, is upstairs gently trying to prod my Dad to come upstairs, while my Dad's yelling back, "In a second, woman! I'm watchin Cheech and Chong with the boys!"
We didn't watch the whole film and I barely remember any of it, but that's my Up in Smoke experience.
