I'd be all for him taking the role of Jon Stewart. Even though the reboot of Green Lantern won't be released until nine years after the original, moving on to a different character is still for the best. Most people only know the heroes of DC comics from the cartoons, and Jon has been in far more of them than Hal Jordan, and his cartoons are morewell thought of and modern.

I like the Green Lantern a lot as a character. Thankfully, I, like NE, have already forgotten about that last abomination. Idris would make a good Jon Stewart, I think. It would be a nice change of pace.
There will hopefully be no phallic-buildings in the background this time around.
