Bendis has no grasp over the X-Men and is one of the worst writers ever on that title, despite his contributions on other characters in the past. I'll hang up and listen to Wyldstaar

If Fox wants give a development deal to someone on an X-Men property, there's nothing to stop them at the moment. If they want to keep going, business as usual, so be it. Scripts get developed all the time in Hollywood. Nothing ever comes of most of them. Even if Disney wasn't buying Fox, chances are that this still wouldn't make it to the big screen. From what I understand, that absurd Fantastic Four children's movie about The Thing, Human Torch babysitting Franklin & Vallaria Richards is still in development as well.
I've never read any of Bendis' X-Men works that I know of. I mainly know him from Ultimate Spider-Man, Alias, and The Pulse, all of which I enjoyed.

They’re getting cockblocked by Comcast who’s also trying to buy the studio.
