I don’t HATE this movie. It isn’t ... boring... but it is made by people who forgot what made the originals good. We can badmouth George Lucas all we want, but let’s not give Steven Spielberg a free pass either. The cinematography is ugly, Kaminsky isn’t suited for certain types of movies, and the use of CGI is terrible.
I’m sure the Disney Indiana Jones movies will have their issues but I’m sure they’ll LOOK and FEEL right.

Of course it's worse. Far worse. Kylo losing had nothing to do with Rey being a woman, and everything to do with how undisciplined he is. Part of this is due to the influence of the Dark Side, but most of it's just his personality. Luke was able to get a couple of potentially deadly hits in against Vader during their duel at Bespin. After Luke injured Vader's shoulder, he immediately quit toying with Luke and cut his arm off. Rey also wasn't as cocky as Luke was when he initially faced off with Vader. Plus, Rey had been fending for herself on Jakku since she was a child. She was better prepared to defend herself than Luke was. |
