While I am generally inclined to give Quentin Tarantino the benefit of the doubt in most things, A Piece of the Action is one of the dumbest episodes of Star Trek ever and the idea of going all-in on it seems kind of nuts. I wouldn't hold your breath on this thing ever getting made.

At long last Dracula and I can bond over common ground, A Piece of the Action suuuuuuuucks. My personal read/theory of what Tarantino's Trek movie was going to be is that it's maybe about alien races (or maybe Starfleet in time travel story) scoping out Earth in the 1930's and getting into mobster shenanigans. I guess you could do that, but I don't understand why it necessarily has to be Star Trek related. It might be more interesting if Tarantino created his own mythos from scratch for it. |
