I used to watch this in high school on BBC2 - they'd air it and Seinfeld back to back at 11pm once a week...what a pisstake of a slot.
Regardless, it shaped my entire sense of humour and love of American television.
Favourite quote (which you can't even find via Google):
Hank: [discussing a restaurant for sale]: "You should know there was a shooting and a beating and a killing and a stabbing there."
Larry: "Well, they have a competitive salad bar..."
It's apparently impossible to release a DVD/Blu ray of the entire series due to all the guests... A loss for the world.
Robin Williams: "I don't look like an Irish pimp?"
Larry: "I wouldn't say that..."
No flipping!
