The apes are kinda thick. Taylor being able to write must be a trick, and flight is a "scientific impossibility." They get weirded out by a paper airplane. Great prosthetics on Dr. Zira and Cornelius. Their ability to emote through all that latex is amazing. Not as realistic as the designs from 2001: A Space Odyssey, but this is the movie that gets all the attention and got the Oscar for outstanding makeup.
