It seems you guys may have missed the memo about this band being one of the greatest artists of all time...
Judge for yourself:
Spike Jones directed ^^
Listen. Cry. Wonder why you've never heard this music before.
Then get back to me.

Liked the first album a lot. Like, A LOT. Been kind of diminishing returns since then, but yeah, definitely one of the best contemporary rock bands.

Liked the first album a lot. Like, A LOT. Been kind of diminishing returns since then, but yeah, definitely one of the best contemporary rock bands. Agree that their debut is so far their best work. But it is actually by chance. If you look into the history of it, it's fascinating. It wasn't supposed to be such a morbid record but so many of the band's family died (unexpectedly) during the production that it turned into an album all about death - hence, 'Funeral'. They also refused to let anyone else produce their albums until The Suburbs, as they despise commercialism. It seems you guys may have missed the memo about this band being one of the greatest artists of all time... Judge for yourself: I'm glad this video has audio bloops for the facts while the song plays. It's blooped ironically - their new album has been marketed very well. They hate commercialism, pop, etc... so they created a separate twitter account for the album that they allowed to take over the AF social media and it did all the usual, modern methods of selling an artist.

I don't think they've ever had a top 40 hit.

I don't think they've ever had a top 40 hit. They have not, although they did somehow manage to get Album of the Year at the Grammys of all places for The Suburbs.
