People losing their shit over Adele beating Beyoncé. I don't care. I'm more of a Rihanna fan. But even I agree that Adele had no business winning. 25 ain't no 21. Called it... The outrage has been annoying me all day. People acting like the notion of Beyoncé losing is a fucking crime against humanity and that the only reason Adele win is because racism.

Beyoncé is overrated. Someone has to say it. She just makes generic pop music with superficial girl power lyrics. At least Destiny's Child was catchy.

Well, if there is one thing you can count on twitter for, it's a well thought out, reasoned and rational response.

I generally agree, but Lemonade was a lot better than most of her earlier stuff, it actually lives up to the hype... well, the reasonable subset of the hype. As for the loss, it is what it is: Adele makes basic bitch music and the grammy voters are a bunch of basic bitches.

Beyoncé is a bigger basic bitch than she is.

One of the most infamous Academy Awards moments: Alright, so this brings a lot of thoughts to mind. First of all: what the fuck? They wasted fifteen minutes of prime airtime on that shit? Really? Secondly I am 99% certain that not a single one of those people will ever win Oscars... though admittedly several of them have golden globes and Emmys. Thirdly, something like 60% of those people are products of blatant nepotism. Probably more than that. Fourthly... someone thought Corey Feldman and Ricki Lake were future Oscar winners... LOL

Ricki Lake: from future Oscar winner to forgotten 90's talk show host.

Wasn't she in that one movie? Hairspray. Yeah. That's why they included her. That was the year Hairspray came out.

... the remake of Hairspray? He probably means Serial Mom... or Cry Baby... or Cecil B. Demented... or any John Waters movie from the past 30 years.

Because being a nominated director entitles you to a better seat than being a nominated co-writer.
