I had no idea who Jennifer Lawrence was or that she was actually attractive. Jibbs and I were big fans of The Bill Engvall Show, so we were VERY aware of Jennifer Lawrence.

I've seen "Nacho Libre". Not better than "The Departed". I beg to differ.

Nice, but still a long way to go to clean up The Oscars.

I've watched them maybe twice in my life. They're painful to watch they're so unfunny.

Yeah, the MTV Movie Awards suck, but...that's not a bad batch of Best Movie nominees, surprisingly.

Best Picture: The Greatest Show on Earth (1952)
Witney surmises that the 25th film to win the Best Picture Oscar was perhaps the Academy’s first “legacy” award. It’s the only way he can explain the victory of such a bloated, bad movie like The Greatest Show on Earth.
So watching a 152-minute film about the ins and outs of the circus – a films that takes long, long, long intermissions to do nothing but show us a pretty straightforward circus act – can feel tiresome and a little uncreative.

I know Dracula rolls his eyes whenever the Oscars are mentioned so early in the year, but Mad Max: Fury Road has people talking. And no, it's not about Best Picture. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. It's about Best Stunts and even Best Action Sequences. I understand why the Oscars would never allow a Best Action Sequence category. That opens the door to stuff like Funniest Scene and Best Kiss. These are the Oscars, not the Golden Stake Awards. But you can't make the same argument for Best Stunt. People literally die doing these dangerous action scenes. You're telling me you can't take a minute to honor the people who risk their lives and give their lives to create these spectacular movie moments that people will cherish for ages? Come on, Oscars. If there's ever a year to introduce Best Stunts, it's now. It's only May and we already have two guaranteed nominees with Furious 7 and Mad Max. Stop being assholes and make it happen. I'm not opposed to stunt work being recognized, especially since I despise the over-use of CGI in films.
