You know, I'm thinking to myself who what Spidey property would be good for her, but since she's only directed Booksmart, all I can think of are high school properties like Spider-Girl (Mayday Parker) and Spider-Gwen. I'd love for it to be either one, but I doubt they are the ones on the table. I'd probably think of her more for Black Cat than Silver Sable. Cat's a more playful character, while Sable would need a more stoic, Black Widow type of movie. |

I loved Spider-Girl, and that would be a great fit for her.
I think a Gwen movie could work, but I'd prefer Jessica Drew. I don't know how Wilde would do with that though, and if they'll be able to include some of her interactions with the greater universe.

I loved Spider-Girl, and that would be a great fit for her. A Spider-Girl movie would be great. And since they're pushing the Spider-Verse angle, they could even work it into the existing Raimi universe. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are old enough to play May's parents and it would be a fun continuation. My one doubt would be whether or not comics have moved on from Mayday or not. She had like this little cult run that a group of readers really liked, then it kind of just stopped. Marvel seems to be riding high on Gwen being the lady Spider-Man counterpart right now, and Spider-Gwen seems to have more mainstream recognition. But if Spider-Girl got a movie I'd be over the moon. |
