Weird how both Underworld and Resident Evil came out around the same time as both sucked, both had a million sequels, and both seemed to serve as platforms for shitty directors to show off how hot their wives were. |

Still makes money internationally even with how awful they are, change the director and hire practically any other lead (minus Emilia Clark, for some reason I'm afraid they hire that bore for the lead) and I can see this being almost can't miss mediocrity ala the marvel universe.
