I find it shocking that it doesn't look horrible. I might actually watch that. Single camera Narration It's more of an ABC show than a CBS one. You could air alongside The Goldbergs and The Middle and people wouldn't even blink. It'll last a season. Supergirl proved CBS can't go beyond its demo. |

The character has nowhere to grow emotionally. Since Big Bang Theory isn't likely to last much longer, the network is going to get whatever it can out of the show before it's finally dead. Networks always do this sort of thing, when it comes to long running series. After MASH (from MASH), Flo (from Alice), Frasier (from Cheers), Joey (from Friends), Fish (from Barney Miller), Mayberry RFD (from The Andy Griffith Show), The Legend of Korra (from Avatar), Major Crimes (from The Closer), etc. |

Most prequel series like Bates Motel, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles or Hannibal start out remaining true to the original, but later begin doing their own thing. |

Of course the show I worked on at CBS lasted just 2 seasons (it was horrible, there shouldn't have been even one season). Was not a fun experience.
The Neighborhood has 6 seasons! Holy fuck! There can't seriously be people watching that show. Chuck Lorre has to have Nielsen bots set up or something.

The series definitely wound up doing it's own thing, mostly by spending more time on any character except for Sheldon. From what I gather, there's going to be yet another spin-off featuring Georgie's family. |
