Truth is its hard to compile some movies cause you have little visual information. So 10 really is always a given good number to aim for. I mean Have no info on the Next Bond film but I trust like all Craigs movies that its worth the wait.

It's not hard to compile films when you're ranking entirely on anticipation. I'm not saying "these are going to be the ten best films of 2015," I just said this was what I was looking forward to most. Hence, the exclusion of Star Wars. That could very well be the best movie of 2015 for all I know, but I'm not particularly excited about it right now and that's why I didn't include it on the list.

My 25 favorite films in 10 words or less.I’m sure I will catch some criticism for this list, so I’m going to preface this list in advance by saying some of the films on this are the very definitions of contemporary. I’m also not trying to say that these are the 25 best films ever created, far from it (although some on this list would definitely break into that list as well). These are my 25 favorite films. Period. And that’s all the defending of the list I will do, because I think the rest will speak for itself. The other element of the list is that I’m going to describe my appreciation for the film in ten words or less. Some statements may be a joke, some may be more serious, but I wanted to challenge myself to summarize my feelings with a low word count because I find that I’m overly wordy quite often. Also, I created this list in about 20 minutes between reviewing my accounts on Letterboxd, my Blu-ray collection, and just off the top of my head, so I’m sure about halfway through I’ll say, “Oh shit I forgot…” and mix things up. I’ll release five a day, starting today. 25. Toy StoryBlew my mind in 1995, and still enjoy it today. 24. The MatrixMind-bending story and spectacular action still holds up. 23. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindThe best romantic comedy of all-time. 22. The AvengersA dream come true for a comic book fan. 21. Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes BackOne of the greatest science-fiction films of all-time. To be continued tomorrow...

20. 2001: A Space OdysseyInfluential and controversial, still a landmark film. 19. Jurassic ParkI just really, really like dinosaurs. 18. The ShiningJust another dreary Sunday in Jack Nicholson's life, I'm sure. 17. The Dark KnightNolan crafted a Batman crime drama. Perfect. 16. AlienThe most frightening film I've ever seen. To be continued tomorrow morning.

Thanks. Tomorrow is going to piss some people off. No, I'm perfectly fine with you including Strange Brew in your top 3.

If it involves Birdemic then you have my full support. I debated making this a parody list at first. I'll have more exciting lists in the future. I once made fun of MasterChief in a list thread saying I would make a top ten deli meats thread, I haven't forgotten about that.

I don't think I'm alone on the former.
I realize the latter may be a bit early, but I've seen it a few times now and I've enjoyed it more on each viewing.

You're lucky Doomsday hasn't seen Interstellar yet. He would have hijacked this thread in a heartbeat.

BTW--I think Zodiac is really good too. I bought it recently, watched it, and still loved it just as much. It held up well.

Good deal.
Zodiac was originally in the top ten, but I decided to bump everything contemporary down a bit since I haven't had nearly as much time with those films as I have what's coming up.
