He doesn't need the money, hes made millions from Wresting and other roles.
At this point he's well knowned and his resume is solid enough.
James Better be rehired, 100% true it won't feel like a GoTG movie without him, no matter how good of a job they with a new director it will feel different.
Look at X-Men 3 for example with Singer as director and Justice League without Snyder.

Or they could just, ya know, hire him back.
But then Jezebel.com and company will come for their throats.
And Disney will fold like a deck of cards.
Because it's 2018 and we can't have nice things.

I’m content with no Guardians 3 to be honest with you all if that’s an option on the table. Fantastic Four can probably replace a lot of the humor and weirdness of it. Can still tell cosmic stories through FF, Captain Marvel, Silver Surfer, etc.
First one was good, didn’t really enjoy the second. I’m content with them getting a send-off in Avengers 4 and that being the end of it.

Just leave them all ash at the end of Avengers 4.
Except Mantis. Bring her back to life and she can live with me.

There’s no way they’re going to have Chris Pratt obligated for another movie and just let him walk.

I'll be extra sad without the guardians. Infintity war was such a snoozer until they showed up. And they had arguably the biggest parts in the movie.
No way Disney shelves a billion dollar franchise though.

Yeah, there's no way they're outright canceling this movie. Like all the articles say, they're just "re-grouping", even taking meetings with potential new directors if reports are accurate. Plus, they never announced an official release date for this, so that helps them.

And I think people should revisit guardians 2, sure the story is kinda meh (still a comic book movie, dunno what you guys expect) but the art direction and the action scenes are top notch.
I might even enjoy it more than the first to be honest.

Plus, they never announced an official release date for this, so that helps them. It was supposed to start shooting at the start of 2019, so it probably had one of those 2021 slots. So the movie got pushed back at least a year, which is why they freed up the cast to do other projects.

And I'm with franky: I've come to prefer the second to the first.

I'm not crazy about either, but I'd rather watch the second because it has this...

Jesus, just give it back to Gunn already. There's not one person who's isn't a total dickhead who doesn't think he should be directing.
