So it seems from one day to the next, this computer started to run slowly. I ran virus scans and nothing comes up. It takes a bit for the computer to to boot on and off. Even the tool bar on the bottom of the screen takes some time, I hit an icon and it takes some seconds for it to come on screen. What needs to be done my friends any ideas

I peered into the vastness and saw nothing. Felt nothing.

Hard drive might be dying, but you could always try to reformat or at least reinstall Windows. Start saving anything you want/need.
Download a program like "Hard Disk Sentinel" and see if the hard drive is on its way out.
Run check disk (chkdsk).

Have you cleaned out your excess junk files and folders recently?

Maybe you have too much porn on your computer?
That's a trick question, as there is no such thing as too much porn.

Check your task manager and see if something is using a lot of processor power.
