The Evil Dead remake was far from perfect, but he had to get his foot in the industry somehow. Don't Breathe, in spite of Dracula 's objections, is a fine horror-thriller. Guy wrote his ticket to James Wan level success. What does he do instead? First, a sequel/soft reboot of David Fincher's Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which no one asked for. And now, he's also gonna remake Jim Henson's Labyrinth. Come on, dude. This isn't how you follow up Don't Breathe!

Yeah...odd choice. Since James Wan isn't directing The Conjuring 3, I'd love to see him maybe do that after seeing what he pulled off in Don't Breathe. But Labyrinth?

Both of those projects are screaming "destined for development hell" so I wouldn't worry too much.
