This is a three episode documentary on five filmmakers, John Ford, Frank Capra, George Stevens, John Huston and William Wyler, and their contributions to the war effort during WWII. It goes over their pre-war careers, their experiences during the war like Ford filming the Battle of Midway and Stevens at D-Day and speaks to how the war influenced their later careers. Anybody posting on these boards should watch.

I liked the book a lot. Will probably give this a watch when I have the free time. Didn't realize it was a three episode thing.

Yeah, I dug the book. Mark Harris' Pictures at a Revolution is also really good. I also really enjoyed the documentary series last Saturday and thought it flew by. I might throw it on again in the background while working on assignments over the next few weeks.

I'm guessing they might work on further spin-off series. There were several notable film stars who also served and saw action like Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable and Alec Guinness. They have more than enough material to keep it going.
