When was the last time this happened to such a high-profile title? If ever? Never. This is unprecedented. The movie is literally in post-production. Even Jerry Lewis got to finish his holocaust clown movie before he threw it in the vault. Which just makes me even more curious to see what it was about this that WB Discovery deemed "unreleasable" about it.
David Zaslav ain't fucking around.

A part of me thinks next week we'll be hearing that Netflix made a bid for the movie. Whether Warner takes it is probably a question mark, but from what I'm hearing it's almost ready to go.
But since the whole Michael Keaton back in DC thing hinges on The Flash actually getting released, anybody who'd want to buy this movie off them will likely see complications.

A part of me thinks next week we'll be hearing that Netflix made a bid for the movie. Well this already aged poorly. More details I'm reading are saying that the movie was cancelled primarily as a tax write-off, and if they were to sell it to anyone then they wouldn't be able to make that play. Which just makes me even more curious to see what it was about this that WB Discovery deemed "unreleasable" about it. That's the thing, the movie isn't unreleasable. People I'm seeing talking about it say test screenings went well. They just don't want it, they don't want to spend the money on advertising it, and they think they can get more worth out of it by just hitting the red button and pretending it was all a big mistake.

Disco absolutely taking the axe to a bunch of pretty good properties. Raised by wolves was okay, made for love was def interesting and a pretty good case for one of the only comedies still running on any streamer.
Curious what their original programming will look like under this new head. Not that wb was very good previously but they took some chances I appreciated.

This just raises the question even more of what they're gonna do with The Flash. Ezra Miller has already singlehandedly made the movie a headache for them, yet its production budget is significantly higher than Batgirl's. Plus, it reportedly lays the groundwork for the DCEU's new direction. Surely that movie can't be another tax write-off. Can it...? Who knows?

A real funny thing to do would be to never release this one and for a bunch of the next movies to reference events in this movie.

And this one had Michael Keaton in it, those bastards. Fired him now! Terminated him immediately!

All sources I'm reading say that The Flash is too expensive to be scrapped and a recast reshoot would be too costly because Miller is in almost every scene. Their aim right now is to hope whatever the fuck Miller is doing with their life blows over by the time it gets released, and if not they're prepared to delay it again (this is likely why we're hearing rumors of Aquaman and Shazam delays, because they're ready to kick Flash back again). All signs point to it being released as is, but they're being extremely clumsy about it.
