I really liked this movie until the last half hour. The kids here are actually pretty good actors and they were selling the entire movie. It's when the action kicks in where it became really corny with the action.
But still this is easily the best power rangers movie made, and it passed my expectations.
My favorite ranger was easily billy. I liked watching his character grow and under the circumstances. Also he was the heart of the entire movie.
Elizabeth Banks seems to be having a lot of fun playing Rita. She did what she was suppose to do.
Bryan Cranston played a very forgettable Zordon in my opinion. I sort of expected a lot more from him. But I don't think it was his fault, it's what the script gave him to work with.
Overall I liked story but the effects were mediocre at best. The suits looked okay they seem to be wanting to do an iron man sort of feel to em which is okay.
I still really enjoyed the stories of these kids, I'm hopeful for a sequel. Maybe they can get a bigger budget.

I enjoyed the first half of the movie. Then when they actually become Power Rangers is when it becomes pretty terrible. The effects were good in some parts. The actors were surprisingly good.

I thought the whole movie was surprisingly good, even when considering the fact that they actually incorporated Krispy Kreme in the movie as part of a major plot point. The movie struck just the right balance between goofy/cheesy and serious without leaning too heavily into one or the other. The last half hour is basically pure fan service, but I'm not gonna deny that I had the stupidest grin on my face during that whole Third Act. I'm up for more if this one does well enough. Oh, and the kid playing Billy stole the whole show.

Yeah without Billy this team would never have the same chemistry. He was easily the heart of the team and the entire movie.
