Incredible trailer, wow! Will definitely be seeing this in theaters the day it comes out, fuck seeing something like this through streaming. The biggest reason I bought a 65-in 4K HDR TV with Dolby Digital Surround Sound is cuz now my TV looks better than most movies in Theaters... I hate to say it but good dramatic movies like this and "Roma" are getting less and less likely to be released in theaters. And if that is the case, I still want my movies to look as pristine in quality as they are viewed in movie theaters. |

That's a bit unfair. Hugo ain't great, but it is a passionate love letter to cinema that really blossoms in the third act, has some cool production design, and interesting 3D experiments. It's most certainly low-tier Scorsese, but there's enough solid elements to earn it a moderate pass from most people, which weighs in its favor as far the Tomatoemeter goes. |
