Several effects shots didn't look so great in this preview. A lot of bad green screen blending. But yeah, the Genie isn't looking so hot, and they don't have much time left to touch it up. I mean, you know it's gotta be bad when people are comparing it to Dwayne Johnson's Scorpion King in The Mummy Returns.

I'll admit this image looks a little better, but the actual footage...yikes. It looks like Genie ate Will Smith. Yeah, it's a little odd. His face seems awkwardly spliced onto someone else's body in the moving footage. Or does his face look too small? Not sure what it is. I guess it could just be the angle, but the still image looks alright. |

I'm still going to say the floating effect is making it look worse than it is. It makes him look stiff and immobile. Like they have him stand on a skateboard and push him forward and then digitally erase his lower half. The photo looks better because he's in a more dynamic pose.

And by the way...Jafar's voice doesn't sound right at all. Rather than a menacing and scheming villain, he just sounds like a tax accountant.

The concern over Jafar and his performance is still there (the lack of presence in these previews doesn't help), but that was definitely a lot better.
