Pierrot le fou is amazing, Godard's best film not named Breathless.

I just watched Pierrot le fou this week. Not a fan. Tell that to her. What's she gonna do? Kill me as part of a genuinely exciting first act before tediously rambling on for another hour?

Pierrot le fou is amazing, Godard's best film not named Breathless. I have a lot of contempt for this statement. Contempt is also amazing, but it's not nearly as fun a film as Pierrot or Band of Outsiders. But according to the top 1,000 list you would be correct. Contempt is ranked #39. I just don't enjoy watching it like I do some of Godard's other top films.

Contempt is also my favourite Godard. Then Alphaville.

Interesting, I don't think I've seen this list. Anyone want to use this for our round 200 in the film club?

Since I'm getting my next paycheck tomorrow, decided to go ahead and order The Manchurian Candidate, which I love, and The Player, which is a blind-buy, but a movie I've been so interested to see for the longest time.

I'm not the biggest Robert Altman fan but The Player is a fun movie, it just spears the Hollywood system. You'll dig it.

Psssh, of course I've seen The Mirror. 10/10, just like Pierrot le fou. Easily Tarkovsky's most challenging film, so that should scare anyone thinking because the running time is less than Stalker, Solaris, and Andrei Rublev that it's more accessible. It isn't. Highest for me is Shoah, which I have downloaded and ready to go but it's a time commitment that I can't do yet. So many movies on my list especially with HBO Max dropping. It's a good list and it's updated pretty frequently. I don't entirely agree with the placement of some movies, and it's not up to speed with movies from 2000 and beyond but we've seen most of those films anyways and this has introduced me to a lot of movies and filmmakers I otherwise wouldn't have known about.

We'll just watch Avengement Or Zyzzyx Road. I've been wanting to watch that one for a while, just so I can say I've seen both the highest grossing movie of all time and the lowest grossing movie of all time.
