Strike two. When Jennifer Aniston threatens to close T.J. Miller's corporate branch, due to it not meeting its quarterly quota, he decides to host a wild office party in an attempt to seal a $14 million contract with a client that values people over numbers. Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn and Kate McKinnon come along for the ride. Does hilarity ensue? Um... not really. There are enough chuckles to keep you awake, but this is a movie that didn't really need to be made. This was just a sad attempt by Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks to re-create their 2000's success stories: Road Trip and Old School. Maybe I'm just old, but I think audiences outgrew those Frat Pack type movies.

The last comedy I saw in theaters was Bad Moms. I'm pretty sure the one before that was The Campaign with Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. Mainstream comedy nowadays is just painful.

The last comedy I saw in theaters was Bad Moms. Which did pretty well at the box office. Its success is credited as the REAL reason Ghostbusters flopped. Women don't care about Ghostbusters. It's a male franchise. They went to watch Bad Mom's instead.

When I saw it I was one of three guys in the whole sold out theater. People were crying laughing.
I can imagine people were crying in Ghostbusters but not quite like that.

I can imagine people were crying in Ghostbusters but not quite like that. I watched it in theaters. It was mostly families. The kids liked it more than the parents, I think.
