I have a lot of interest in this show due to being an avid reader of the older Oz books. Has anyone checked this out? Any good?

I didn't think it looked very good. Maybe as a Kansan and a fan of The Wizard of Oz I'm a little bit biased, though.

Howdy, fellow Kansan (well, formerly), and was always a sucker for a good tornado film, and the Oz books blew me away (tum dum tss), but this show looked iffy in the previews. I guess I'll have to brave the waters on my own and let y'all know what I find.

a few minutes in, and the tornado fanatic in me was let-down. Massive supercell formation, but then they go with the total blackout dark night scene and the tornado base comes out of nowhere, and it's as wide as a car. Meh.

More live updates: Toto is going to be a K9 Police German Shepherd, and this is set in modern day, as well. Dorothy is a little older, already established as the kind of girl who likes to skip dinner and go straight to dessert (if you know what I mean), and has had a tiny, creepy tattoo since she was a baby.

This show is just weird. It's like ... people are upset the Witch of the East died, but nothing is really happening, and I am 45 minutes in.

Yeah, I quit about an hour in (season premiere on NBC.com is 1hr30min). I won't be watching this any further. Really bad story writing.

I appreciate the live-feed updates.
They should do a Johnson County version of Dorothy. Instead of being a farm girl she cruises around Leawood in a Range Rover and Toto is a chihuahua.
