I would've enjoyed Sasha Baron Cohen. There's nothing Bryan Singer can do to make this better than the Sasha Baron Cohen version. Freddie's estate wants a cleaned-up version. Fuck that. Freddie himself would have considered this bullshit. |

I'd heard, and maybe it was completely unsubstantiated, that it was the surviving band members wanted the entire tail of the movie dedicated to how they persevered after Freddie died. No one wants a movie about that. |

Yeah, none of that story makes any sense on its face. Either it's a big cover story and they really just fired him for the reasons everyone thinks they fired him, or all the "unprofessionalism" is just the result of him cracking under the pressure of trying to keep... other things... under wrap.

Those accusations were from a while back, and nothing ever came of them. This appears to be totally separate. If there were a new report about to break, Singer would be getting out in front of it, which he is not doing. It's just about him being incredibly unprofessional. I expect he's going to have a hard time finding work after this mess. |

Alright, so the statement he just put out is that he was leaving the set to take care of a sick parent and that the studio fired him rather than give him time off. Not sure I entirely buy that, dude's rich and should be able to hire people to deal with his parent's health concerns. That or maybe it is true and the studio was just looking for any excuse to get rid of him rather than risk having his accusations come back to bite them.
