List older movies you've seen in a theater thanks to a re-release:
Alien: Director's Cut (11/1/2003)
This was when new editions were coming out for the Alien movies all over the place for the DVD quadrilogy set. I had to travel about 40 miles to find a theater playing it.
Dr. No (8/1/2008) From Russia With Love (8/10/2008) Goldfinger (8/16/2008)
I'm still miffed they didn't keep going. And that I was practically alone at these showings...
Star Wars: Episode IV (2/1997) ? Star Wars: Episode V (2/1997) ? Star Wars: Episode VI (2/1997) ? Obviously these were the special editions. I remember standing in line for a long time playing cards.
The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D (2006?)
3D re-release. Saw it in New York with Knerys, actually.
That's all I can remember at the moment. And this doesn't count movies I saw in film classes that were original film reels such as Lawrence of Arabia, Psycho, M, etc.

Only ones I've seen were 2001: A Space Odysey, Lawrence of Arabia (those two were in 70mm), Throne of Blood, Metropolis (during its 2002 re-release), the Alien Director's Cut, and I guess the Star Wars Special Editions if you want to count those.
Otherwise, seeing older movies in theaters just isn't much of a priority for me. Just can't quite justify the time, money, and fuss to go see something that's more than likely already sitting on my Blu-Ray shelf.

The Exorcist - November, 1998
Good Will Hunting - August, 2014
Aaaaand, I'm done. I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any right now.

Lawrence of Arabia (70mm) - Incredible movie to see on the big screen. Like Dracula, I'm not really that adamant about seeing "classics" in the theater. It's just something I'll do if the opportunity is there.

Oh man. I've had the luxury of living in a big city, so repertory cinemas have just been there. Some of my favorites:
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Q&A with Tim Curry) True Romance (Q&A with Quentin Tarantino) Bad Timing Walkabout Hausu Tess Rosemary's Baby Psycho The Last Picture Show Days of Heaven Solaris Blade Runner Mulholland Dr. E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial The Little Mermaid Alien Aliens Spider-Baby Carnival of Souls
70mm: 2001: A Space Odyssey Sleeping Beauty The Sound of Music Spartacus Lawrence of Arabia
There's some more, but those are my favorites.

Sad to say I've never seen any. Would love to see The Great Escape, Ben Hur and Braveheart, among others.

The Exorcist. It was halloween too, pretty awesome.
E.T.. THat was sweet.
Apocalypse Now. Also awesome.
Oh, and Back to the Future.
Of those 4, Exorcist was the only one I saw in theaters as a first time watch.

I've seen Ghostbusters a few times on the big screen, and The Wizard of Oz a few weeks ago.
I'd love to see some of the older Bond movies at the theater, but I suspect I missed my chance at that.

Fortunately I also live in a place where I'm surrounded by theaters that constantly play old films. I've seen all the Indiana Jones movies a few times, Lawrence of Arabia a few times, The Good The Bad and The Ugly a few times, and a lot more that I won't list. If you like that sort of thing then a move to Los Angeles is in order.

The first movie I remember seeing in the theater is Return of the Jedi...sometime in 1983 (obviously). I was 6 when it came out, so I don't remember the exact date. I went to the re-releases of all three original movies, but Jedi is the only one I went to the first time around. Saw the Goonies a few years ago. And of course Fight Club.

I saw Ghostbusters 2 and Last Crusade on their initial release, they're the oldest two I remember.

This past year, I saw both Monty Python and the Holy Grail and UHF in theaters. Then again, I was one of the few people to see UHF in theaters the first time around...

...and now I live in Tulsa, where it was filmed. If only that were intentional, it would truly be a testament to my nerdiness.
