Well, Inception is on the list.
Also, the Lord of the Rings films aren't all that amazing.

Guys, the Lord of the Rings movies are not starved for attention. Maybe it's for the best that they found some room for some less known movies. I can't agree with that. This is a list compiling the BEST, not the under appreciated. So what if those films are massive blockbusters? All that should matter is are those films among the 100 best of these last two decades, and the answer is a resounding yes. I mean, I like this list and I really like the choices and love they give to films that don't garner the accolades they deserve, but to completely leave off those films just reeks of an elitism that even I can only scoff at.

Well, maybe they had trouble zeroing in on one film to represent the series accomplishment? I also wonder if the Hobbit trilogy left a bad taste in a lot of critic's mouths. Also, each critic only made a top ten list which also could have hurt. I mean, I love the trilogy and believe they absolutely deserve representation on a top 100 films of the 21st century list, but I don't know if I'd put any in my top ten.
Not trying to say they don't belong, just trying to explore reasons they didn't make it.

I don't know if I'd put any in my top ten. I wouldn't.
