Teen superhero angst is on it's way to Hulu. For those unfamiliar, The Runaways is the story of a group of teens (as well as one tween and a pet velociraptor) in LA that discover their parents are a Super-villain team called The Pride, who secretly rule the underworld of the West Coast. Each pair of parents adds something different to the mix, which they pass on to their offspring. There's the time travelers from the future, the Hollywood power couple who are secretly aliens, the mutants, the mad scientists, the magic users and the criminal masterminds. link |

I realized today that the first three episodes of Runaways have been released. Watched them all today. It's surprisingly loyal to the source material so far. There are a few minor changes, but the spirit of the original comics remain. There's only going to be ten episodes in the first season, so it looks as though the entire thing is going to be the origin story from the first graphic novel.
