I think it's very funny. Maggie's story is great and I love the joke where he tries to tie up the rabbit and it flings it.

Good question, ratings are tough. I suppose the ratings are based on all TV, but it's hard to keep perspective.

Maybe. David Mirkin is definitely my favorite era of the show, but the Oakley & Weinstein years were on par. So the show technically peaked in 1997. Even if you're not a fan, 1997 is still seen as when the show began its decline. Homer's Enemy is widely seen as the pinnacle of the show. If you love the episode, everything following it is a disappointment cause that's the Mike Scully era. And if you hate the episode, that's clearly the shark jumping moment. Either way, 1997 is when the show took its dive. |

Season 8? I'd likely agree. Season 9 had some gems but overall it was clearly moving on the downswing.
