Simpsons executive producer and showrunner, Al Jean, is saying that there's a 50/50 chance there will be a 2nd Simpsons movie. Since Conan O'Brien is in Los Angeles now, they better get him as one of the co-writers.

I've been re-watching The Simpsons and I've finally hit the point where I just can't anymore. Season 21 was just so unfunny it was physically painful. I was gonna watch everything too, but I stopped at season... 9 or 10. Not because it got bad, but because, who has the time? It's crazy that there's 25+ seasons of The Simpson. Is there anyone alive, besides the cast & crew, that have watched all 500+ episodes? I don't even watch Family Guy anymore and they're by season... 15? All shows should have a natural end point, and if they wanna continue it cause there's money to be made, then just go the Scooby-Doo route. Scooby-Doo, in some shape or form, has been on the air since 1969. But it hasn't been ONE show. It has been MANY shows with different creators and formats. It keeps things interesting and fresh. |

Having rewatched the first 6 or 7 seasons dozens over the course of my life I hadn't watched a new episode of the Simpsons since I was in high school, sometime around 2002 or 2003. I saw it was on Hulu one day last summer and popped on the latest one. It was like I was watching a totally different tv show, I didn't know what I was watching. Not only was it not funny in any way but the characters were just so different. I never plan on watching all of them because like Neverending said, what's the point?
