Best comedy of the year. No, seriously, I was laughing throughout the film. This movie jumped the shark (tuh-dum-tss) when it came to bad luck and gratuitous booty shots. The dialogue was laughable, and the cheese factor was cranked to 11 at times.
It got so Murphy's Law on the audience, that it got to the point of ridiculousness. I heard laughter and groans along with my own about how everything was just going oh-so-wrong. Also, the shark was a fucking genius. I was just waiting for Samuel L Jackson's corpse to bob out of the water so there was a direct tie-in to Deep Blue Sea.
This movie is not quite the horror film it proports itself to be, and the shark does not behave like a shark at all, but it still manages to be a decent popcorn flick. Still, probably worth waiting for on Red Box, and not worth a trip to the theatres.
