Shane Black, who co-starred in the original Predator, wrote the screenplay for the latest version in the franchise. Now it's being reported that the movie will feature an all-female cast. After the massive success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which cast newcomer Daisy Ridley in the lead role, studios feel comfortable that audiences are finally ready to embrace women in traditionally male roles. So who will take over the throne from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny Glover and Adrien Brody? Emilia Clarke? Keira Knightly? Negasonic Teenage Warhead? Word is that producers are seeking an unconventional choice. Lena Dunham has been widely speculated to be their main choice. If she accepts, it will launch a new chapter in her career and give audiences a different kind of hero. The Predator remake is expected to hit theaters in 2018, just in time for the original's 31st anniversary.
