JibbsiTunes' released a MASSIVE Paul McCartney compilation album and it's... not good. McCartney has one of the tougher careers to follow. With the exception of the surprisingly good, Memory Almost Full, I haven't listened to anything he's done beyond Pipes of Peace. I basically gave up. Band on the Run, as far as I know, is the only legitimately good McCartney album. Every other album is either good by low-bar standards or a pile of shit with 2 or 3 radio hits thrown in. So if you're doing a compilation album you gotta stick with the hits. 67 songs? I doubt Paul McCartney has 67 good songs. If he had 67 good songs he wouldn't still be singing Beatles songs in concerts.

Still better than Lennon's solo career.

Still better than Lennon's solo career. ... True. Band on the Run, alone, is better than anything Lennon did. And then you add in all the hits. Ringo had a few good songs, thanks to George Harrison. And Harrison, with the right producer, did good stuff too. Lennon, arguably, had the shittiest of all the solo careers. His 70's output does have iconic songs, but the albums themselves weren't very good. McCartney, Harrison & Ringo had more listenable albums.

Everyone should know Take 1 of Strawberry Fields Forever. Isn't that in Anthology? I think I own it. At iTunes you can purchase the individual tracks. I'll have to double check which one I bought. If it's the acoustic version, then yeah, that's the one.

I wouldn't call it acoustic, but there are instruments missing. It's minimalistic.
