No, as a matter of fact the internet has been replaced by newer lag-free forms of communication.

I do not know, Spider-Man 3 I never got around to watching it while in the future, it didn't come on TCM very often and it wasn't out on HVD (the modern video format) I wasn't able to get a copy very easy.

Jeb Bush will be elected president in 2020, he was largely responsible for the major economic crisis of the 2020's and was not re-elected. If you were from the future (which of course you're not), here's my biggest gripe. If you want to prevent a paradox of any kind you would have no reason to go back in time. Earth has already turned out the way it is going to turn out no matter what your period of time was. So, either you go back in time with a purpose to change the future (your claimed present time), because you don't like it, which would run the risk of creating a paradox and destroying all humanity (theoretically, depending on the level of paradox) or you do nothing and keep the future the way it is. So... going back in time is really pointless because you're either:

A) stuck not telling anyone for fear of creating a paradox, or

B) creating a paradox because you want to alter the future in some way by changing the past

Either way, just the mere fact that if you truly were from the future and wanted to prevent a paradox, you would be bound from telling anyone, otherwise you run the risk of creating a paradox no matter how small the revelation (even to internet slackers). So, there is no way that you could be from the future, because you would have already created a paradox just by telling us slackers who you really were. Either that, or you've just destroyed the future with this thread - way to go.

The butterfly effect as you mentioned before is the theory that a small flapping of a butterfly's wings can create a hurricane somewhere else around the world. Point being, small events, no matter how small can create huge and devestating ripple effects. Therefore, this thread could litterally be the end of all mankind if you truly were from the future. I don't think you'd risk that.

There are aspects of the future I do want to change, namely I want to prevent Tornado from destroying the world. However my goal was to create as few pardoxes as possible along the way. However after being stuck here for a while the tention of not telling anyone all this stuff has really been getting to me. I decided that somthing had to give, future be damned, that's why I made this thread, to tell people all this stuff in a place that is as harmless as possible. Though stepping on a butterfly can have major consequences, it probably will cause less problems then shooting a dinosaur, that's why I'm telling you butter flies rather then some credible dinosaur like the president. If you don't want to believe me you don't have to, that will probably lead to less paradoxes anyway.

They are not mainstream, they are kind of like nulear bombs are now, common scientific knowledge, but illegal and rare. I belong to a splinter group that built our own time machine in order to go back and stop Tornado. However there are some seconday objective, namely historical reserch.

Don't ask me how the machine works, I don't know, I didn't personally build it. I will tell you however that it is only cabable of sending people back exactly 73 years, so we havn't really gone back in time any further then this time period. The way we plan to get back is by building another time machine that can send people back forward in time by using a special kind of plutonium that has been depleted in my time, however we are waiting for some of your scientist to invent some of the parts we need before we can do this.

Most precious metals have little value in 2075, we've perfected artificial things like you were talking about, and use those for jewlery. However this tranition has not happened by the economic crisis and most of those commoditys should get you through that crisis.

Well, once we all started worshiping 2pac as a prophet the music lost a lot of its edge. Its basicy like folk music is now, a music respected by critics, but listened to by few. It is still popular in "the hood" but it isn't still being loved in the mainstream. The lyrics of rap are a lot different now too, many of the street "gangsta" problems are very different now, not gone, but different. It definatley isn't the mainstream music, but it still exists.

Well, yes all the recordings of these artist are still availible, some are remembered better then others. Elvis, The Beatles, Bod Dylan for example are definately remembered. Some songs are remembered better then artists, for example "Rock You Like a Hurricane" is an oldies radio staple, but ask the average person on the street who The Scorpions are and they'lll give you an odd look. Many artist associated with 2pac are of course known, Biggie for example is somthing of a Pontius Pilate figure. Also there are a number of modern musicians around who knew 2pac after his resurection like Kanye West who plays a major part of The Seven Day Tome, which is basicly 2pac's bible. Most major artists are known, any band like Nirvana which made a big splash is still known to some degree.

It's still going strong in 2075, I wasn't a huge fan until I got here, but I can tell you it gets back to the regular format eventually and that there have been at least 15 actors to take up the role.

The only one I saw before I got here was called Bullets in the Night, it's opening scene was a space dogfight over the Mars base which ended in Bond ejecting from his ship in the upper atmosphere and power diving into a crater before ignighting pocket tractor beam. Radio's dead, we now have devices that come preloaded with every song ever written which recieve updates with new stuff. You just need to make playlists of your favorites and it will put together a shuffle, you can even upload DJ Banter. As such, fame is a bit of a different beast than it used to be. Among the bands with profitable live tours are a band called Smokestack Particle, an oldies revival band called Da True Motherf**kin' Gs, and of course The Rolling Stones (it turns out they've literally found The Fountain of Youth).

There is a town on Mars, but it's mainly a place where miners live, it's not a nice place. There's a science base on the moon.

Just got done looking back over this thread. I'm not going to have time to archive it, but it was worth giving another look. I only counted nine predictions in the whole thing that are 100% conclusively incorrect as of today.
