Frizzo's algorithms have evolved nicely over the past decade. He almost seems human now.

UPS and Fed Ex drivers are gonna love this:
I wonder what kind of jobs people will have in 25 years. I see Wal-Mart add more and more self check out lanes every month. Amazon now has drones to deliver packages. It seems like machines are the future. So what the fuck are humans gonna do? Built and fix machines? That's it?

I'm just glad to see Jeremy Clarkson back again.
Can't wait for the Amazon era of Top Gear.

Humans will turn into the fatties in Wall-E. I thought everybody knew that? Hell, the yanks are halfway there already!

I went to McDonald's today and they got rid of the cashiers. You have to order your food through a touchscreen. Once this goes mainstream I wonder how many people will lose their jobs.
When Obama became President, right after the economy collapsed, McDonald's made a huge gesture by hiring a shitload of people. People can't live on minimum wage but at least it was something. Now Trump is on the horizon and McDonald's pulls this shit?
I'm not a hippy. I'm not gonna boycott McDonald's. I know this is the future. But it's also something McDonald's didn't need to do. They're rich enough.

I'd be fine with that if they still printed tickets on the same durable paper but they don't, they print them on receipt paper and they're a lot bigger too. I can't put them in my wallet without crumpling the tops of them and they take up too much space in my scrapbook. McDonalds probably wouldn't be such a big deal, if nothing else it would reduce instances of teenagers "forgetting" to put "no cheese" into the register and giving me a surprise when my burger comes out.

A world where you can go to McDonald's and get what you ordered. Yeah, I like the sound of that world.

I haven't had a durable ticket stub for my collection in years.

It would take me something like ten or fifteen more minutes to drive to a Regal vs. my theater of choice, which I might be willing to do in the name of quality ticket stubs but they don't have assigned seating and that's something I generally prefer to have at this point.

Do they also have servers? I forgot to mention that. You order your food in one of the four touchscreens, grab your number, sit down and wait for a sweaty 16-year-old to bring you your food. It was awkward. Do we have to start tipping people at McDonald's now?

I'm just going to throw it out there: Mr. Pink was right, tipping as a concept is bullshit and people shouldn't be pressured into doing it at all.

there was only the touchscreen option Where the registers used to be is now a take-out counter. There was like... 5 or 6 people on staff. The drive-thru people, the food assembler, the take-out person and the server.

Uhhh... a movie theater not having popcorn ready to go without these measures is not something I've ever witnessed.

I went to an AMC in Kansas a while back. They had a 'buffet' style concession stand where they had shelves of popcorn, candy, soda fountain etc. You grabbed what you wanted, walked it up to the cashier and paid there, nobody was serving you anything and the only people there were the ones taking your money. That hasn't hit California yet.
