I stopped by Toys r Us today, just to see what was left on the shelves. There were a few interesting things left, but nothing I felt compelled to buy. I've got a box full of Phantom Menace toys in the closet that I bought in the 1999 equivalent to Force Friday. Never again am I going to spend that kind of money on something I don't really know anything about.

I work at Target, so I had a good sense of what we had and what sold the best. Despite my initial geek-out, there really wasn't a whole lot that made me say "wow." There was a pretty cool motion-sensor BB-8 display on an end cap, and it also seemed like the BB-8 toys were probably some of the biggest sellers along with any of the Black Series figures. Those are pretty much what went quickly. We still had a lot of everything else when I left work on Friday. I was in a different Target yesterday, and it was pretty much the same thing. I was able to get a free Target/Star Wars branded lunch box, so that was pretty cool. Okay, my daughter got a free lunch box, because they were only giving them out to kids, but cool none-the-less. I might pick up a few things eventually, but nothing that really made me want to spend my money right then and there.

Nope. I still visit and say hi to the toys (which I did today), but working there? Not one iota.
