Edit: Love you signature btw It looks like it, maybe for DiCaprio as well. Can't wait for the full trailer to be released. Haha, thank you! Vader has provided Doomsday and I with some truly signature-worthy material.

Doomsday and I had a micro chat about it in the Suicide Squad thread. Yeah, I read about that the other day. Whats-his-face pissed off everyone.

Doomsday and I had a micro chat about it in the Suicide Squad thread. Yeah, I read about that the other day. Whats-his-face pissed off everyone. When I hear stories like this though, I just point to "Apocalypse Now", "Fitzcarraldo", and "Blade Runner". All movies that the crew loathed working on, took a ton of time and effort, had brutal conditions, and where they completely questioned the director at every turn. All of those movies are highly, highly acclaimed and totally worth it. I say either get on board with Inarritu's vision, or don't be a part of something special. When you sign up for a snow shoot using only natural light, you had to know you were getting yourself into this.

I'd rather watch The Danish Girl.

I'd rather watch The Danish Girl. We can already concede the Oscar to Redmayne, he's so bold!

Yeah, this trailer just confirmed for me that this will be the film of the year. Tom Hardy is gonna be ruthless in this. And DiCaprio fights a bear, what more can you want?

Seems to stray quite a bit from the book. Which is a good thing.

This looks really good. Loving the production design, feels authentic. They shot the entire piece in natural light only. Daring to say the least, but looks like it really payed off capturing the true harshness of the frontier.

Daring to say the least, but looks like it really payed off capturing the true harshness of the frontier. Robert Rodriguez shot El Mariachi in natural light. Quentin Tarantino shot Death Proof in natural light. Let's compare and contrast.

Robert Rodriguez shot Sharkboy and Lavagirl using only a key light.... a CHROMA KEY light. Hahahaha! Oh man, we are such nerds.
I didn't know that about Death Proof, that's pretty damn cool. Even the interior shots of the car and the bar were just natural lights? Like the tungstens bulbs in the bar? That's neat.

Seems to stray quite a bit from the book. Which is a good thing. Explain yourself. Keeps repeating about his son. I don't believe he ever had any children. Ever. And... I really hope they change the ending. The books ending is rather anticlimactic, and the author even admits to embellishing and making up characters in the end of the book, it really is rather bad, but it sounds like it is not the same in the movie.

I'm not going to read your spoiler, but that's interesting that Hugh Glass didn't have a child because the whole "half-breed" subplot looks like a major catalyst for why Tom Hardy betrays him. So if that wasn't in the book I'm with you that it's a great and very interesting addition.

Then, like Kate Winslet, he can go on to star in the Divergent series. And maybe sign on to the Growing Pains reunion movie.

That spoiler doesn't tell you anything specifically. More a discussion on the merits of the book and the authors admitted shortcomings with the story. I give zero details, I'd love to discuss the book with someone though.

Running time is 2 hours and 36 minutes. Seems kinda long, but which movie isn't these days?
