Picked up the complete 007 box set on Bluray yesterday for $35. Pretty sweet. Oddly enough, they also had a nearly identical box set for sale, except that it was missing Spectre, with an empty slot for when the buyer got that separately. That one was $100. There’s two sets. One is the blu-rays, which I assume you got, and the much pricer blu-ray+digital+book.

I suspect the more expensive one was simply released before Spectre became available, while the one I got was released after. The set with digital copies and a book comes in a black box. Perhaps the early release version is more rare, hence the higher price? I just wish they'd thought to include one more empty slot for the final Daniel Craig film.

Just seems the store has a pre-Spectre set in their stock.

It's a while from now but I'm going to hold out for the blu ray box set after No Time To Die drops on video. Every time a new Bond movie comes out they re-release another box set but I think the end of Daniel Craig's tenure will be a good cutoff point.

All three movies were in the background during Thanksgiving. Live and Let Die certainly has its hilarious moments, but Spy is by far the most attention-grabbing and entertaining. Golden Gun doesn't quite work as background entertainment. It's like someone playing the piano at a restaurant. Nice ambient noise but you kinda forget it's there.

If that were my article, the top five would pretty much be all Connery. Maybe Goldeneye thrown in. Though the writer and I do both share a fondness for For Your Eyes Only.
Die Another Day at 5 is hilarious though. That made my day.

I’m getting tired of attention seeking articles/blurbs/videos that throw out obvious untruths for no other reason than to stir the pot like Die Another Day being the fifth best Bond movie. ‘The Godfather III is the BEST Godfather’ or ‘Man of Steel is actually a GOOD movie.’ Nobody really thinks those things.

Eh, I've long accepted the fact that Doomsday has made the full-on transformation into Clint Eastwood from Gran Torino and just says shit to get a rise out of people.

Are the Bond novels worth reading?
