I watched an interview from a few years ago and he was asked about the Vikings movie. He mentioned how 'certain networks and shows' had taken his idea and made a couple different tv series out of it so now it's unlikely it will get made. Vikings is a pretty cool show but a Vikings movie from Mel Gibson would have been off the fucking chain. Ah well, there are several other historical topics with insane amounts of violence that he can draw from.
